The company was founded on
October 9th,
1968, by Nello and Nino Cocconcelli (limited partners) as a simple limited partnership.
It started its activities in the city of Parma, via Budellungo nš 10, specializing in the sale of vacuum packed Parmesan and Grana Padano cheese (entire pieces and portions), and in the elaboration of grated and dehydrated cheese.
During the seventies, this range of products was expanded to include the sale of Parma hams, dried meat in general, and the ripening of Parmesan and Grana Pagano cheese (also for third persons).
In 1984, upon the death of Nello Cocconcelli, the company carried on with its only silent partner, Nino Cocconcelli. Near the end of the eighties, his two sons
Antonio and
Francesco joined the business and gave it a new impulse by elaborating cheese on behalf of third persons.
In April 1993, the company moves from Parma to its new home in
S. Polo di Torrile. From that moment on, the turnover, and hence the activity, increases notably, all the more so when the regular activities are extended with the packaging of cheese on behalf of third persons.
From June 2004 onwards, the company changes from a simple limited partnership into a limited liability company ( inscription at the Chamber of Commerce, nš 435410, June 3rd 2004, C.C.I.A.A. Parma).
